Open House Meet the Teacher Night is always one of the most highly anticipated times of the new school year. While it is fun and exciting to meet all of your new students, a lot of prep and planning goes into this eventful evening. I have rounded up a few Open House resources that will help take a little bit of the stress off of your tired teacher brain.
Open House Scavenger Hunt
What?! How fun will these be for your new students? Imagine that they are expecting to come and take a tour of their new classroom and instead they get to explore scavenger hunt style!
This resource from JD’s Rockin’ Readers includes 10 stations for students and families to visit that guides them through all of the processes involved with learning about a new school year. The best part is that this resource is editable so you can decide what stations your students need to visit!
Open House Meet the Teacher/Meet the Student Flyer
This is actually one of Teacher Tech Studio‘s back to school resources that I had to include in this round up!
This open house meet the teacher flyer includes two different templates, each with varying designs. Not only do you have a flyer to introduce yourself to your new students, but your students will also have a chance to create their own flyer to introduce themselves to you and their new classmates!
You can have your own flyers edited, printed and ready to pass out at Open House, and you can have a copy of “Meet the Student” for each child to take home and bring back on the first day of school. These make a cute hallway display.
Back to School and Meet the Teacher Forms, Checklists, and Signs
Teaching with Crayons and Curls offers this cute set of editable open house meet the teacher forms. She includes forms for every grade level from Pre-School through Sixth Grade, as well as a variety of other essential lists and signs for Open House Night.
Back to School Student Gift Tags for Open House Night
These student gift tags by Lessons for Little Ones make Open House night even more exciting for your new students!
The product description states that 25 different designs are included so you can change it up year after year. The pictures that the seller has in her preview are so cute! Go check it out.
Editable Parent & Student Brochure for Meet the Teacher
These brochures are so cute for open house. Kim Miller has created these editable brochure templates for every grade Kindergarten through Fifth. There is even a mailable version included in the set.
The set of templates includes fully editable text for both blank and pre-filled informational boxes. If I was still in the classroom, this resource definitely would have been on my list of purchases this year!
Open House Meet the Teacher Editable Flipbook Bundle
Similar to the brochure templates, Learning in Wonderland has these cute back to school flipbooks for open house meet the teacher night.
In addition to the back to school flipbook, the bundle also includes a flipbook for curriculum night and a substitute handbook! The best feature of these flipbooks is that they require no cutting or gluing to assemble, which means no wasted paper!
Editable Back to School Slides for Open House
The last resource on this mini round up of things you should add to your open house meet the teacher shopping list are these editable slides from Pocketful of Primary.
These slides can be edited in Google Slides or Powerpoint. There are 75 different titles and headings with coordinating clipart included. If you aren’t a techy person, this seller includes a video tutorial!
This concludes the list of items you should check out to get prepared for Open House Meet the Teacher Night. I wish you the best school year ever!
